Mary has always been different. She'd like to be normal, but being able to hear ghosts means she'll never be like everyone else. She starts her junior year of high school hoping to be left alone, but Cyrus Asher is new and doesn't know or seem to care that she's an outcast. They start hanging out and all is well until she goes over to his house. Cy's house is haunted, and not by Casper, the friendly ghost.

But it's not the ghost that ruins the evening. That honor belongs to Vicky "The Hickey" Nelson with her borrowed Ouija board and stuck-up friends. They make Mary so angry that she uses the ghost to freak out everybody, Cy included. He orders her out, and Mary thinks she's lost whatever chance she had with him. But there's still the ghost to deal with. He's mean, nasty, and possibly homicidal. She has to get rid of him or Cy and his family could be hurt. Or worse.

*You look awesome.*

This is a typical text from Jake, the mysterious guy who saved Mary from the Shadowman. After everything had settled down, he started sending little messages to her. They brighten her day and make her feel special. She likes Jake. He's different like her. A freak. They send texts back and forth frequently, and Mary hasn’t told anyone about him. He's her secret friend.

When the TV producer Regina Smith comes to ask Gran for help, Mary pushes Gran to take her up on the opportunity. Regina wants them to go to Alabama to help a group of paranormal investigators, who are making a reality show. They've stumbled onto a real haunted house, and if no one steps in, they're going to get themselves killed. But Mary doesn't really care about that. She wants to go because Jake lives in Alabama. And she hopes to meet him. But when Gran’s kidnapped, Mary no longer hopes to meet Jake, she has to meet him. He’s her only hope of rescuing Gran. But mysteriously, he has stopped answering her texts.

To save Gran, Mary not only has to contend with two malevolent ghosts but also the paranormal investigators who will stop at nothing to capture evidence of the paranormal. If they have to, they’ll put Gran and Mary at risk. They will get the ghosts one way or another.

You know how ghosts are made, right?

Scamming Death

Book 5 in the Scary Mary Series
Amazon / Barnes & Noble / Google Play / iTunes / Kobo / Smashwords

Gran is the most important person in Mary’s life. Mary would do anything for her. So when Eddie, a freshman at her school, asks Mary for help with his grandma, she can’t say no.

But what he wants is an exorcism.

Mary goes to meet his grandma with misgivings. She’s not sure how she’ll break the truth to Eddie. Elderly people can change. They can stop recognizing their loved ones. They can act like completely different people. Alzheimer’s can do that. Dementia can do that. But a ghost can do that as well.

Eddie’s grandma is possessed. But the ghost swears that she’s protecting the elderly woman because there’s something scarier than ghosts at the nursing home. An angel of death stalks the building.

With Eddie and her friends, Mary must find the angel of death and stop them, but how do you stop an angel? Mary will have to figure that out before the angel strikes again.

Mr Conjure

Book 6 in the Scary Mary Series
Amazon / Barnes & Noble / Google Play / iTunes / Kobo / Smashwords

“I’ve never heard of Mr. Conjure,” Mary said.
“He creeps through the shadows wearing a raggedy top hat and a long black coat. His claws are stained a bright red from all the blood he’s spilled. If he gets you, there’s no escape.”
“Why’s he called Mr. Conjure?” Mary asked.
     “What do you mean?”
“Why isn’t he called Top Hat or Mr. Red Hands?”
Eddie frowned. “Because he’s called Mr. Conjure.”
“But what does he conjure?” Mary asked.
     “He doesn’t. You conjure him.”
“But why would anyone want to?”
“Because people are sometimes stupid,” Rachel said.
Jenny is a little stupid, at least that’s what Mary thinks. Why else would the teen go to an abandoned house by herself and play a game to summon a monster called Mr. Conjure? Mary doesn’t believe he exists, but Jenny insists that he’s out to get her. She’s so afraid of him that she attempts suicide.
Rachel wants to help Jenny and needs Mary to do it. Mary thinks Jenny needs a shrink, not her. She’s sure Mr. Conjure isn’t real. But something is lurking in the dark, and if it can’t get Jenny, it’ll take Mary instead.

Book 7 in the Scary Mary Series
Stolen Life is now available!

Amazon / Barnes & Noble / Google Play / iTunes / Kobo / Smashwords

A few months ago, Mary didn't know she had any living relatives until Jake contacted her. He found her by using his special ability called remote viewing. He can see anything he wants no matter how far away it is, except his mind's eye can't travel beyond the veil. He can't see outside our universe. The place he wants to see is a place of death and shadows where their shared relative Tracy Rathbone has been trapped for nineteen years. Jake needs Mary's and Vicky's help to see her home.

Mary wants to help, but she's cautious. Tracy is in the homeland of the Shadowmen, the terrifying creatures that slip through cracks and take a person's life force. Mary has only ever up against Shadowmen but only one at a time, and each time she has only barely won. Going up against an army of them would be impossible. But that's not the worst part. Why does he need Vicky's help? If Tracy weren't family, she wouldn't do it. She can't stand the cheerleader, and the feeling is heartily mutual.

She doesn't need to worry about the Shadowmen or Vicky though. Tracy has a plan. She just needs Jake to bring Mary to her. She'll take care of the rest. Mary really should've asked more questions about the plan because it isn't so much an escape plan as a trade, and Mary's the one being traded.

Abandoned, alone, and scared, Mary must figure out how to get home and take back her stolen life.
